a glimpse of the work

More than one way
to understand what you
are living through

Therapy with me is not organised around a single technique. We may stay close to what is happening now, notice patterns across relationships, use images or metaphor when words fall short, and make room for strengths, meaning and possibility alongside difficulty.

Patterns & relationships

Notice recurring ways of relating, protecting yourself and responding to others and explore how they may have developed and what they are doing for you now.

Emotion & inner experience

Slow down enough to recognise and understand feelings that may be difficult to name, stay with or make sense of.

Images, metaphor & creativity

When words are not enough, creative ways of working can help something become more visible, thinkable or expressible.

Identity, meaning & belonging

Explore the stories, roles, relationships and cultural contexts through which you have come to understand yourself and your place in the world.

Strengths, values & possibility

Attend not only to pain and limitation, but also to what matters, what supports you and what may still be possible.

INSIDE A SESSION

There is no particular way you need to arrive

You might begin with something that happened that week, a relationship, a decision, a feeling you cannot quite place, a memory, a dream, an image, or simply the sense that you do not know what to talk about.

We follow what begins to matter. I may slow us down, return to something you passed over quickly, notice a contradiction, or become curious about what is difficult to say or feel. Some sessions are emotionally vivid; others are quieter, uncertain or fragmented. None of these is a failure to “do therapy properly.”
