TERMS OF USE

Last updated: 11 August 2026

These Terms of Use govern access to and use of this website.

Please read them alongside the separate Privacy Notice and Cookie Policy. These Terms concern use of the website itself. They do not replace any separate agreement governing psychological therapy, workshops, programmes or other professional services.

ABOUT THIS WEBSITE

This website is operated by:

Anastasia Stavrou
Trading as Anastasia Stavrou Psychology
Psychologist · MSc · GMBPsS
Email: ans.art.therapy@gmail.com

I am licensed to practise psychology by the Greek Government and am a Graduate Member of the British Psychological Society. My UK-based online work is offered within the limits of my qualifications, competence, insurance and the professional and legal requirements applying to my location and yours.

This website provides information about my independent psychological practice, arts-based work, workshops, WePainT and related professional activities.

INFORMATION AND PROFESSIONAL BOUNDARIES

The material on this website is provided for general informational and educational purposes. It may discuss psychological ideas, therapeutic approaches, arts-based methods, chronic pain, wellbeing, relationships, identity, loss, life transitions and other personal or professional subjects.

Website content does not constitute:

• individual psychological, psychotherapeutic or medical advice;
• a clinical assessment or diagnosis;
• a treatment recommendation;
• emergency or crisis support;
• a substitute for therapy, medical care or another professional service;
• a guarantee that a particular service will be suitable for you; or
• a promise of a particular therapeutic or programme outcome.

Browsing the website, reading its content, completing the Contact form, responding to a survey or requesting an initial consultation does not by itself establish a therapist–client or other professional relationship.

A professional relationship begins only after we have communicated directly, considered suitability and practical arrangements, agreed to work together and accepted the relevant professional terms or service agreement.

Submitting an enquiry or booking request does not guarantee that I will be able to offer a service.

PROFESSIONAL SERVICES AND INITIAL CONSULTATIONS

Descriptions of therapy, arts-based work, workshops and programmes are intended to help visitors understand the general nature of the work.

Whether a service is suitable or available may depend on:

• your needs and circumstances;
• the nature and limits of the service;
• my competence, availability and professional remit;
• safeguarding or risk considerations;
• insurance and territorial requirements;
• whether online work is appropriate; and
• the requirements applying in the location from which you attend.

Where we agree to work together, a separate agreement will cover relevant matters such as appointments, communication, fees, payment, cancellation, confidentiality, data protection, record keeping, online working, safeguarding, emergencies, complaints and ending the work.

Nothing on this website overrides your statutory consumer rights or my responsibility to provide an agreed service with reasonable care and skill.

Calendly is used to display availability and arrange initial consultations. Availability may change, and a booking is confirmed only when the booking process has been completed and confirmation has been issued.

An initial consultation is not an emergency service and is not necessarily a therapy session. Its purpose is to discuss what brings you, what you are looking for and whether working together appears appropriate.

Technical errors, calendar synchronisation problems or exceptional circumstances may occasionally affect availability. Where I become aware of a booking problem, I will take reasonable steps to contact you and arrange an appropriate alternative.

WEPAINT

WePainT is an arts-based programme being developed for adults living with chronic pain or a condition involving chronic pain.

Information about its structure, delivery, materials, fees, dates or availability may change as the programme develops.

Completing a WePainT survey does not create a professional relationship, constitute an application for therapy, guarantee a place or require future participation. Survey information is handled as described in the Privacy Notice.

Any future participation will be subject to separate information, suitability considerations and programme terms.

NO EMERGENCY OR CRISIS SERVICE

My practice and this website do not provide an emergency, crisis-response or continuously monitored service.

Messages submitted through the website, Google Forms, Calendly or email may not be read immediately.

If you or another person is in immediate danger, experiencing a mental-health emergency or requiring urgent medical or psychological support, contact the emergency, crisis or healthcare services available in your current location.

Do not rely on the Contact form, surveys, booking system or email for urgent assistance.

CONTACT FORMS, SURVEYS AND ACCEPTABLE USE

Please provide information that is accurate to the best of your knowledge and avoid submitting more sensitive information than is necessary at the enquiry stage.

You must not use this website or its forms:

• unlawfully, fraudulently or to impersonate another person;
• to cause harm, harassment or distress;
• to submit detailed records that have not been requested through an appropriate route;
• to disclose information about another identifiable person without a lawful and appropriate reason;
• to introduce malware, malicious files, code or links;
• to interfere with the website’s operation or security;
• to attempt unauthorised access to the website or associated systems;
• to send unsolicited commercial messages; or
• to infringe another person’s privacy, confidentiality or intellectual-property rights.

Submitting information does not require me to accept an enquiry, provide a service or respond within a guaranteed period. How submitted information is used is explained in the Privacy Notice.

I may take proportionate steps to protect the website and its users where misuse is identified.

INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

Unless otherwise stated, the original written content, programme materials, branding, photographs, artwork, graphics and other original materials on this website are owned by or licensed to Anastasia Stavrou.

You may:

• view the website;
• save or print reasonable extracts for personal, non-commercial use; and
• share a normal link to a public page.

Without prior written permission, you may not:

• reproduce or republish substantial parts of the website;
• distribute, modify or present its materials as your own;
• use its materials commercially;
• reproduce programme exercises or workshop materials;
• use images, artwork or written content to train or populate another commercial service; or
• remove authorship, copyright or attribution information.

Nothing in these Terms restricts quotation, criticism, review, academic discussion or another use permitted by applicable copyright law, provided appropriate attribution is given.

Third-party material remains the property of its respective owner and may be subject to separate terms or licences.

THIRD-PARTY SERVICES AND EXTERNAL LINKS

This website may use, embed or link to services provided by third parties, including:

• Calendly;
• ItsComplicated;
• Google Forms and Google Sheets;
• WordPress and website-hosting services;
• WPForms;
• Zoom;
• email-delivery providers; and
• payment or practice-management services, where applicable.

These providers may process information under their own terms, privacy notices and cookie practices. My use of these services and the information under my control is described in the Privacy Notice and Cookie Policy.

The website may also link to external articles, galleries, professional organisations and other resources. External links are provided for information or convenience. Unless expressly stated, I do not control or guarantee the availability, security, accuracy or continuing content of an external website. A link does not necessarily imply endorsement.

WEBSITE AVAILABILITY AND ACCURACY

I take reasonable steps to keep the website secure, available and reasonably current. However, I cannot guarantee that access will always be uninterrupted, that every feature will operate without error or that the website will be compatible with every device or browser.

Access may occasionally be restricted for maintenance, security, updates, migration or circumstances outside my reasonable control.

Professional information, availability, external resources and developing programme details may change. I may update, correct, reorganise, suspend or remove website content where reasonably necessary.

Where website information differs from a separate agreement concerning an established professional service, the separate agreement and our direct communication take priority.

RESPONSIBILITY AND CONSUMER RIGHTS

You remain responsible for decisions made on the basis of general website content. General information should not be treated as individual psychological, medical or professional advice.

I am not responsible for loss that:

• was not caused by a breach on my part;
• was not reasonably foreseeable;
• arose from treating general information as individual professional advice;
• resulted from an external website or service outside my control; or
• resulted from unlawful or prohibited use of the website.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits responsibility where doing so would be unlawful. In particular, nothing excludes or limits:

• liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence;
• liability for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation;
• responsibility that cannot lawfully be excluded;
• your statutory consumer rights; or
• obligations to provide an agreed service with reasonable care and skill.

These Terms concern website use. They do not impose an artificial financial limit on a valid claim relating to an agreed professional service.

PRIVACY AND COOKIES

Personal information is handled in accordance with the separate Privacy Notice.

The use of cookies, embedded services and similar technologies is explained in the Cookie Policy and through the website’s privacy-choice controls.

CHANGES TO THESE TERMS

I may update these Terms where the website, services, providers or relevant legal requirements change.

The latest version will appear on this page with its revision date. Changes apply from the date the revised Terms are published. They will not retrospectively alter a separate professional agreement unless that agreement permits a lawful and fair change.

GOVERNING LAW

These Terms and any non-contractual dispute relating to use of the website are governed by the law of England and Wales.

The courts of England and Wales have non-exclusive jurisdiction. If you are a consumer living elsewhere, you may also benefit from mandatory legal protections available in your own jurisdiction.

Nothing in these Terms removes rights that applicable law does not permit you to waive.
